But I know there is none.
I wish I could ask
What’s going on?
But I know I’d drown
In the multitude of answers.
I wish I could say
I don’t care,
But I’m not that great a liar —
Not with the sky falling,
With my world on fire —
So, instead I turn
To my ignorance,
And smile.
It’s all right.
Just another day in paradise.
