Framed with golden edges,
Walk the streets —
Breathe in that
Late-September weather.
Still warm enough
To let it touch,
Still allowing
Short-sleeved shirts
And summer dresses.
Spent those final
Days of warmth
Making memories of light
That may last through
The darkness of winter.
